What WE Offer

Medication Management

We only consider medication if we need to. I integrate the whole being of a person, with practicing my triad model of actively listening, encouraging self-care and educating when psychopharmacological agents need to be intervened.

psychotherapy

We use methods derived from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral Modification and Mindfulness when working with patients. It is important to incorporate  not only the scientific approach of medicine but also implement healthy approaches to lead and live a life free from negative thinking and regain control of your happiness.

music and mind connection

Music therapy is an evidence-based therapeutic intervention using music to improve mental wellness and reduce stress and anxiety. We help guide and actively attune our patients to music as part of your follow up sessions. This is where you will have the opportunity to engage in every dimension of yourself to elevate and transcend with our 3 workshops: Reflection Workshop, Instrumentation Workshop and Lyricism Workshops.

About the founder

Naomi Jeanty-Higgins, M.D.

Dr. Naomi Jeanty-Higgins is an adult psychiatrist, a Miami native of rich Haitian-descent. I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Natural Sciences in Chemistry from the University of South Florida in Tampa and later earned my medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine located in the lush green beautiful island of Dominica. I completed her residency training at the Larkin Community Hospital General Psychiatry Program in South Miami, Florida in Summer 2019. Dr. Jeanty-Higgins specialties include mood and anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma, panic disorder, sleep disorder, women's health in addition to treating performance anxiety for musicians and recording artists.

Dr. Jeanty-Higgins' position as a psychiatrist blossomed into something greater and worthwhile after working at the University of Miami School of Medicine in the Division of Pediatric Immunology & Infection Diseases as a clinical research associate involved in prospective cohort measure to study the long term safety of antiretroviral agents for infants exposed to these agents born to HIV infected mothers. This is where I would be exposed to the plethora of psychosocial shifts and dynamism and how they both played a role in particularly underrepresented women with dual diagnoses pertaining to substance use and mental illnesses. For that reason, I plunged full force in the area of psychiatry, a place where balance is key. My goal is to work with patients--building steps along the way to YOUR journey of PEACE and HARMONY. Values

We desire for every client to walk away from each session, filling, vibrant, and refresh. We believe that mental health has an untapped, natural accessibility through music and its various ways of expression, and that this is what we lead our patients through living a life as they were meant to. We exist for the client who wants to try an alternative treatment to get a piece of themselves back.
